Please find below details of change in national tourism policy with regards to quality. The ERTC are following national policy guidelines in giving individual businesses the choice as to whether to become star-rated, but as a company we will be most certainly continuing to promote quality and star ratings in all our marketing materials as part of the ongoing implementation of the'Turning the Tide for Tourism in Torbay' Strategy.

As an Accommodation Business, you have 2 options should you wish to become a quality assessed property:

1) Apply for a National Quality Assessed rating through either VisitEngland (Quality in Tourism) or the AA. This scheme will provide you with a star-rating from 1-5, based on your facilities and service provision.

2) Apply for the basic entry level English Riviera Approved scheme through Quality in Tourism. This will provide with an basic quality stamp, but you will not be star-rated. For current inspection fees: English Riviera Combined Fees Leaflet 12-13.pdf
